BLESSED FOR EXPLOITS

This is the second month of the year and we all should be having huge anxieties to receive what we requested of God this year right? Nevertheless, in which ever way our requests are been granted, one thing we need to certainly do is to remain in God, do his will which is the prime reason for our existence and relinquish even the answers to our request for the glory of God .
More specifically, each and every one of us is created for a higher purpose in life. This higher purpose is not necessarily the attainment of desired goals and aspirations such as career, marriage etc. The ultimate purpose for our existence is attaining Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ which we get by believing in Him, living Christ-like lives on earth and awaiting the crown of glory at the end of time.

God expects us to use the things He has blessed us with for His Glory. My dear sister, even your beauty is a gift at your disposal to use for God’s Glory. Come to think of it, your delightful looks may attract people around you and when they come around you engage in sharing the word of God. You may be traveling even in a bus or a taxi and talk to people about God as you travel along.
I was dumbfounded one hot and dusty afternoon while in my hostel room in the university when a gorgeously dressed, young, pretty lady (whom I would have imagined to see around trending bars or nightclub) came to my door and asked to share the word of God with me. Not like I expected a funny looking person though. I thought to myself that this girl should be very conscious of her charming beauty and knows that people will hardly resist hearing the word of God coming from a cutie like her. Haha…. She did use what she was blessed with to keep me in the consciousness of God’s love. I was so challenged that I asked myself, how different am I from this girl? And how am I using my youthfulness for His glory.
Just like the Psalmist says, “Praise the Lord O my soul, all my being praise his Holy name…” (psalms 103:1). Everything about us must be exploited for kingdom advancement.

Unfortunately, the things God has blessed us with are more often than not the things we use to excuse ourselves for not doing the will of God. It is not so uncommon to hear someone say; “oh you know, my job is so time consuming, I won’t have time to go out on an evangelism outreach or to commit to a Christian group in church”. Most young girls and boys will say, I will commit to certain church groups only when I am old. Ecclesiastes 12:1 reminds us; “...Remember your creator when you are still young before those dismal days come when you will say, I don’t enjoy life”.

Why do we put God in the last place in our lives as to offer Him services from feeble hands? We should use the blessings He has placed at our disposal to witness, to work for Him and not worship the blessings more than the “Blesser” (the giver of the blessings). I wear a cap of guilt on this, but I thank God for opening my eyes to see how poor my representation of Him has been. So the days ahead will be perfectly different.
How we use what we have been blessed with will determine how much we would consistently receive from God and how guaranteed our salvation will be. May God give us the zeal to use what He has blessed us with for kingdom advancement. We look forward to sharing hearing your experiences.

Remain blessed in the anointing of God.
