From the Pit to the Throne (Moving Forward)

Hello and Welcome to another Great month. Two months have gone by with its sorrows, tears, Joy, etc. No matter how the year started, I have good news for you. Your best days are about to begin. March is the month of Marching forward. It’s a month of victory. That’s why I am here to prepare you for the throne through this little message.

Many times in life we have failed in a few things we planned to do either by our own faults or because we were betrayed. Sometimes the betrayal comes from the people we least expected. This betrayal puts us in a deep pit that requires only a miracle to take us out of it. When we eventually get out of the pit, we turn to bear grudges with our detractors. We curse them and wish all terrible things to happen to them. This is one of the reasons why it equally becomes difficult for us to move forward because we keep remembering the pit experience and blaming those who betrayed us. So I will like us to look at a few things to consider in order to move up to your thrown.

ASCENDING THE THRONE

  • Consider every detractor to be a destiny helper: It never pays to hold on to the past. A positive attitude always makes all things better. No matter how bad someone hurt you, ask God for the grace to forgive and to see that person as the one whom God has placed in your path for a reason.
Looking at the example of Joseph, his brothers first of all threw him into a pit and then later on sold him to slavery in Egypt. His brothers thought that was the end of his life. They thought they had dealt with him but God instead used them as Joseph’s destiny helpers because if not of their betrayal, Joseph would never have been the Governor of Egypt. (Genesis 37).
  • Trust God to bring out something good in every situation: In ascending your throne, it is very important to have solid, unwavering faith in God, believing that He has the best plans or you. No matter how the devil planned a situation to be bad, God will always work it out for good. He does not just work out for good but the condition is that you must be in love with God. Being in love with God involves trust, faith, confidence, etc. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works together for good for they that love him and are called according his purpose.”
  • Go to work: A man of God once said “A faith that makes God absolutely responsible is an irresponsible faith.” Yes we may have fallen in a pit, things may not have worked out well for us but failure instead comes when you are in that position and refuse to rise up. While praying, make every effort to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. While working, keep asking God to unveil the bigger plan to you. Do not just sit there.
  • I will like to end by saying…Please no matter what happens, DO NOT CURSE those who are against your progress. Love your enemies and pray for those who hurt you. Every time you curse, you carry malice in your heart which prevents your prayers from rising up to heaven; then you remin at the same level. The best recipe for the Pit experience is PRAISE…

PRAISE is what we do when we have ran out of options. Sometimes you are just so heavy or overwhelmed at the way things are going and you do not even know what to pray about. In those times, just engage in heartfelt, warfare praise and you will be amazed at the out come. Remember 2Chronicles 20, emphasis on verse 22.

2 Chron 20:22 “As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mt. Seir who were invading Judah and they were defeated.”

Just as God fought for the people of Judah as they engaged in praise, I see God fighting for you as you engage in PRAISE rather than curses.

ENJOY THE BEST OF GOD THIS MONTH AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING YOUR “MARCHING FORWARD” TESTIMONIES.
