Siyan was sick and she was told of a hospital where she could meet a specialist and get treated. When she got to the doctor\u2019s office she spent many hours doing medical checks. Thereafter the doctor told her what was wrong with her. \u00a0The doctor prescribed drugs to Siyan with a specific dosage per day and he told her the drugs will treat her disease. The doctor went ahead to tell her that she had to avoid eating meat because it was detrimental to her health and she had to eat more of pumpkin which was healthy for her. Siyan told the doctor that she does not like pumpkin. The doctor took more time to explain the health benefits of pumpkin to her situation and he told her that his wife was a farmer and he was ready to supply her with pumpkin because he knows pumpkin is what she needs most.\u00a0 After spending time with the doctor and understanding that he wanted the best for her, she took the drugs and desired pumpkin and started placing orders for more pumpkin to be delivered at her home.\u00a0 After spending time with the doctor for treatment, Siyan knew the doctor wanted the best for her. With this knowledge, she found pleasure in doing what the doctor said and her desires aligned with that of the doctor. Thus, the doctor prescribed to her the drugs and food which he knew she needed most for her treatment. As a result, Siyan got treated.<\/p>\n
Siyan\u2019s heart desire was to be treated of her disease. \u00a0Fulfillment of her hearts desires came as a result of finding pleasure in doctor\u2019s instructions and she could only accept the doctor\u2019s instructions because she had met the doctor, he did her medical checks, she trusted his knowledge on what was wrong with the health and she understood he wanted the best for her. With all this knowledge, she aligned her desires for her healthcare with the doctor\u2019s desires for her and she got treated.<\/p>\n
As human beings, our hearts desires are many.\u00a0\u00a0 Psalm 37:4 has a secret to getting our heart\u2019s desires\u00a0 and this is the secret: \u201cTake delight in the Lord, and he will grant all the desires of your heart.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n This is interesting. What we need to do to have all our desires granted is to \u201cDelight in the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n To delight in someone means to experience pleasure and Joy in his presence. It is only when we intimately know someone that we can truly experience pleasure and Joy in the presence of that person. For instance, if we know God, we would know that His nature is LOVE. Knowledge of God\u2019s love will help us delight in Him. When we spend time in God\u2019s presence, we get knowledge of His love and this knowledge makes us understand that God knows what is best for us and He also knows what is not good for us. Thus, because we believe He knows what is best for us, we will also know if our desires align with His desires for us, we would have the best things in life. If my earthly parents love me, know some things I need and provide them, what more of GOD WHO IS ALL KNOWING AND WHOSE LOVE IS ALL SURPASSING AND ETERNAL? God desires to provide all our hearts desires and what we need to do is to delight in Him. Delighting in God is finding pleasure and Joy in God, and this comes by knowledge of God and knowledge of God comes by spending time with Him. Spending time with God entails studying and meditating on the word of God, fellowship with other Christians, praying, praising etc.<\/p>\n As 2019 ends, my prayer is that God helps us to delight in him and in delighting in him, our heart\u2019s desires will surely align with His will for us and He will surely grant the desires of our hearts.<\/p>\n
