How you regard the hand of God in your life and carrier or business is an indicator of the kinda attitude you carry. Unfortunately many successful people think that it was all about their hard work and commitment to their course that brought them success.Grateful hearts are always humble hearts.<\/p>\n
A prideful attitude is seen in ingratitude. Take an example, in Christian giving, we are expected to give as a duty not for recognition. We give as a duty because we acknowledge God in gratitude for all he has placed at our disposal and so we give either for his work or to men in need as a response to our gratitude.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately we see the greatest demonstration of pride in the act of giving in the lives of Christians. Many sacrifice huge amounts of money not because they sincerely want to show love but because they also want to be seen and heard and what is the end result? When they don\u2019t get the reward or praises, they start talking ill. Proverbs 10:22( the blessings of the lord makes a person rich and does not add sorrow to it).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Most times people get rich but are still living in sorrow. The question that comes to mind is did God actually bless them or they got the fortune their way? Sooner, the answer clearer when they try to suppress others because of their riches or when they give a drop of water and expect all praises for it.
\nAs Christians, the Bible teaches us not to make a big deal out of our giving but rather we should consider it a Christian duty so that we may keep away from pride and all other evil thoughts and attitudes that comes with having to give particularly to the poor.<\/p>\n
