What an affirmation of trust in God! Many times through life\u2019s battles, we are tempted to throw everything in the tower and give up. Sometimes we may not know the reason for what we are going through so it is really easy to give up. In those times what is your reaction towards God?<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, I was reading through some passages in the book of Job in the bible and my faith was triggered. Just looking at how God was boastful about Job before Satan and even despite the fact that Satan looked for all reasons why Job could turn his back on God, he was dumbfounded because Job stood his ground. Then we see in the scriptures all possible reasons that Job\u2019s friends gave for his suffering, till the extent that his wife told him to curse God and die. Yet Job stood his grounds trusting God. Then I asked myself the question, \u201cWhat motivates my love for God?\u201d
\nIs our love for God motivated by what we can get from him, what he has already given us or is it unconditional? Do we love God just because of who He is or other motives. If I was to receive the worst news of my life today like job who lost everything in one day. What will my reaction be? Of course I will blame God and say “,papa God why me?”. The answer to this question is a determinant of where we are in our relationship with God.<\/p>\n

Recently, we have been talking a lot about women arising to fulfill their assignment and purpose because women are incubators of the destinies of their generation and those after them. However, the only stimulant for us to arise to take up the tasks we have to accomplish is our love for God. Many times its not like we are sleeping. We are actually conscious of what we have to do and we really want to do it but life happens and we focus on life that happened than on him who holds the keys of life.<\/p>\n

Can we take a stand to accomplish a task for God and declare boldly like Job that \u201cEven if he slay me, yet will I trust in him?\u201d This is the same attitude that the three Hebrew boys (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) had when they refused to worship the image King Nebuchadnezzar made everyone worship. They said \u201cO Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand. But even if he does not<\/strong>, we want you to know your majesty that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

In other words, they said \u201cEven if God were to slay or forsake us we will still trust in Him.” Hence when they were thrown in the fire, a fourth man appeared in the fire so they were not burned.<\/p>\n

There are some acts\/demonstrations of faith that provokes speedy and supernatural responses from heaven. However, only a heart motivated by genuine love for God can speak such words of faith to shake heaven. It is not just about arising to impact our generation so we are counted among the high flyers but arising out of love for God such that even if no one sees us or people slay us, we will stand strong in our identity and achieve the goal set upon your heart for God.<\/p>\n

If anything said in this article touched you, please take a quiet moment to repeat these words of unconditional love from a sincere heart like Job.<\/p>\n
