Being a single girl who desires marriage is not always so easy. Especially with pressure from family, friends and society, it could get really frustrating sometimes and might make you want to jump right into the next available relationship or settle for the \u2018next best thing\u2019. So if you are going to court someone looking to marry them someday, you should consider whether they are saved or not. The bible makes it clear that we shouldn\u2019t be \u2018unequally yoked\u2019 with unbelievers (2Cor 6:14<\/em>). Sometimes it is tempting when you come across a nice guy with good moral values and a kind heart. Truth is if he isn\u2019t saved (that is accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior), it isn\u2019t advised for you to be with him. Also, don\u2019t try to do the Holy Spirit\u2019s job and think you can save him by dating him; you can\u2019t save anyone, that\u2019s not your job<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong> You should also beware of the guy who has so many insecurities about himself and about his position in your life, who is going to doubt everything you say and is unreasonably jealous of your other relationships with your friends and family. Such a guy is going to project his insecurities on you and you\u2019ll find that you are always trying to validate yourself or trying to prove your sincerity and honesty.<\/p>\n This is a huge red flag and you should be careful to notice this and run while you can. An angry guy with a hot temper could probably get abusive and you shouldn\u2019t put yourself through any kind of abuse whether verbal or physical. Observe how he reacts when put off or when under pressure, a guy who is going to be ready to throw a fist at any given moment has anger issues and you should watch out for that.<\/p>\n These are those guys who commit the same sin over and over again and each time they say sorry and promise never to do it again but then just go right back to it the very next opportunity they get. They are putting in no effort to try to change; just empty talk and no action. This is a sign of indiscipline and lack of self-control; you should beware of such guys.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>In a godly relationship, you\u2019re supposed to help build each other in every way. A guy who is always going to compromise and try to make you compromise too on your Christian values such as trying to lead you into sexual sin or taking you to places you know you probably shouldn\u2019t be going to or just bringing temptation your way is a red flag. You should watch out for such guys who will take you farther away from God instead of leading you closer to Him.<\/p>\n A guy\u00a0who is going to try make decisions for you; try to control how you spend your time, who you spend your time with, the places you go to or try to control any other thing concerning your life is a danger sign. If a guy is going to try to control you while he\u2019s courting you, you\u2019re probably going to be in bondage marrying such a guy.<\/p>\n Greek mythology tells a story of a guy called Narcissus from where the word narcissist comes from. Narcissus had very good looks and one day he caught his own reflection in a river as he walked by and fell in love with himself; he couldn\u2019t leave the river side and eventually died from sorrow at the river banks because he could not obtain the object of his desire (which was his own reflection). A narcissist is definitely a guy you should beware of. A guy who is obsessed with his appearance and physical features, who can\u2019t get enough of his \u2018greatness\u2019 and muscles is a sign of trouble brewing ahead. Yes I\u2019m sure any girl wouldn\u2019t mind some muscle on a guy but if he is obsessed with that and pays way too much attention to how he looks, you should beware of such a guy.<\/p>\n Sometimes we get impatient waiting for marriage and our impatience could lead us into a hell of a marriage. The wisest thing to do is to wait for the guy who is in love with the Lord and who is going to love you just as Christ loves the church.
