Hash Tag Single Life

If there could be one hashtag that will perfectly and very accurately describe your life, #singlelife is probably it and you are so over it!

You probably want to use other hashtags like #couplegoals or #relationshipgoals or better yet you’d like your own personalised hashtag that’s made of a fusion of two names. Girl, if this is you, we’re not judging. Nope we get you! This is for you.

Being single nowadays  just isn’t what most people desire. It seems daunting and miserable. The one girl in your crew without a #bae. Or even worse the only person on your IG or FB feed without a #BF. All that goes through your mind all day everyday is WHEN!? God When!? When is it going to be my turn? When will I get to be the #relationshipgoal?

Single girls sometimes focus so much on wanting a relationship that their beautiful and precious single years go by empty, wasted and purposeless. Like they say… you never know what you have until you lose it….

Girl, your single season is such a precious and delicate gift you have that you might not be aware of how valuable it is until it’s gone.

Once it’s gone, it is gone! There’s no bringing it back. This is the time to lay a solid foundation for your life. To discover your purpose and work on it. To build your own vision and work towards it. This is the time to work on you and become the best version of yourself.

So if you are that girl who’s sitting around waiting for life to start after marriage, girl! Please stop. You’ve got so much more you can achieve and accomplish in your life this season. Take advantage of it.

* Marriage as beautiful as it is, isn’t the purpose for your life. 

Right now you might think that getting married is the only thing that’ll bring you happiness and fulfillment. Unfortunately you’re so wrong if you’re thinking this way. Marrying the right person undoubtedly will bring you a lot of joy and happiness. It could add a lot of color and beauty to your life but ultimately it wouldn’t bring you total fulfillment.

A life without purpose will never feel complete whether married or single 

This is the time to discover your purpose. Married or unmarried, you will feel incomplete if you aren’t achieving purpose.

* Your Timing isn’t always God’s Timing. 

Yup! That sucks sometimes, but it is what it is girl! Sometimes we make plans, set deadlines but it turns out that God didn’t set the same deadlines we did. Honestly that isn’t the best feeling. But can you trust that He’s got you and He’s got good plans for you? Can you trust that He is working out everything for your good? I know you’re probably tired of hearing “God’s time is the best” but I’m sorry I’m going to say it again God’s timing is perfect. Don’t get tired of waiting on Him.

* Everyone’s Path in Life isn’t the same. 

Maybe you’re the only girl in your girl squad without a husband. Seems like everyone but you is getting married. Everyday seems to be another wedding that’s not yours and your just tired of waiting. Someone recently told me about twin sisters , one is getting married and the other isn’t even in a relationship yet and she’s worrying so much about it. Girl, you need to understand and accept that everyone’s path in life is different. Even if you came into the world together at the same time, your path isn’t the same as any other’s. You need to accept that and learn to enjoy your own journey.

There’ll be days where you’ll be overwhelmed and probably cry yourself to sleep, there’ll be days that’ll be so hard to go through. And hey, that’s okay!
