So moving on! Let’s look at our challenge for today.

Day 6: A Christmas Prayer

On Christmas day, as part of our celebration we usually go to church. Most church gatherings record their highest attendance figures on Christmas day. Everyone always goes to church on this day. Mostly as a part of their celebration of the day but also to pray.

Prayer is such a powerful tool. Not only is it one of the means through which we communicate with our God, but it’s also one of our strongest weapons against the enemy. Jesus coming into the world made prayer even more better! Now we can pray in his name – the name that is above all other names – and get wonderful results.

So here is the challenge for today:

Say 7 specific prayers for any 7 people you choose. Write them down too and pray earnestly over them.

Shift the focus from yourself for just a moment and pray for others like you’ll pray for yourself.  The bible encourages us to pray and intercede for others (Ephesians 6:18, 2Corinthians 1:11, James 5:16). Intercessory prayers are actually very powerful and effective. Just one word of prayer from you for someone would bless them in so many ways!

So give out prayers this Christmas! Be generous with your prayers! And I pray for you that as you do so, may God also raise up intercessors for you and may he answer your own prayers!

Remain blessed
