The Holy Spirit is God, He is the third person of the trinity, the helper Jesus promised to send to the earth to live with and help His disciples / all those who believe in Him (John 14:16-17).
The Holy Spirit has a variety of names throughout scripture. These names help us to know who He really is and what He can do in our lives.
One of the functions of the Holy Spirit is to grace earthly people and places with the glorious presence of God’s holiness: the Holy Spirit is very special, that is the reason why our Lord Jesus said all sins committed against Him and God the Father shall be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes or sins against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven here on earth and even in eternity (Mathew 12:31-32).
The Holy Spirit has always been playing the role of positioning mankind for God’s glory from creation till today and He will continue doing so till eternity. He was there at the beginning when God started the work of creation (Genesis 1:1-2), He positioned the Israelites in their liberation from the Egyptians to take the way that will reveal the greatness and glory of God to mankind (Exodus 13:17-22, & 14), He positioned Mary to be the mother of Jesus, He was the mighty power that shaped Paul’s destiny from a murderer of believers in Jesus into a great evangelist (Acts 9:1-31).
When we recognize the powerful role the Holy Spirit plays in positioning us here on earth for the glory of God, we will find a need to develop a deeper relationship with Him, surrender to His leadership, and always enquire of Him in every decisions we want to make,
