GRACE (THE PUSH FACTOR FOR MINISTRY).

Hey all, sure we are getting set for an Amazing weekend, the Last weekend in May. It’s been great having you guys on this journey of GRACE. Today we will looking at another function of Grace in the life of a Christian which is Grace that equips us for Ministry.

What is Ministry?

When we talk about ministry, some people may think it’s all about being a Pastor, Evangelist, starting up a church or whatever you may decide to call it. But I will like us to break out of that mindset to know that Ministry has to deal with everything you set out to do. For example, if you are a mum, you have a great ministry in your hands to raise Godly seeds (Malachi 2:15). If you are a father, you equally have a great ministry in your hands because scripture says to be good in the church, you must be good at home (1Timothy 3:5). If you are a teacher, you have a ministry of wisdom, instilling knowledge into the younger generations and God has handed the destiny of these young people into your hands to mold them up. So ministry has everything to do with you. What matters is just about knowing how to function in your ministry and what will drive you to performing your ministry effectively.  That’s where GRACE comes in.

HOW DOES GRACE EQUIP ME FOR MINISTRY?

Grace is that additional drive you get when you feel like you’ve had it up to your neck but you give it one more shot.  When your husband steps on your nerves and you feel like breaking the marriage but then you decide to be patient and give him another chance. That is Grace at work. In other words,

Another way Grace works is through a realization of the power bestowed in us to do beyond what we thought we could do. For example, you are given a task at your jobsite and you never knew you could even do it but you find yourself doing it. That is the Grace of God upon your life. Grace is Help from above  to handle any situation (Divine Help).

After looking at this broad view on Grace for Ministry, I will like us to reflect on these scriptures and as you read it I pray God will enlighten your understanding on the Grace already at work in your life and what you should do with it.

  • Ephesians 4:11-14 (Grace for ministry in the Church).
  • Philippians 1:6, Philippians 2:13, Hebrews 4:16 (Grace for your personal chores).
  • 1Thessalonians 5:23-24, Psalms 138:8 (Grace for work at your jobsite).
  • 1 Peter 5:10, 1 Corinthians 1:8 (Grace to endure through suffering)
  • 1 Peter 2:21-25, Isaiah 53:5, Isaiah 33:24 (Grace in time of Sickness).
  • 2 Thessalonians 3:4, Ephesians 3:20(Grace for your home)

  • Ephesians 2:4-10 (Grace for all round Dominion).
HOW CAN WE ACTIVATE THIS GRACE?

Like we have established in previous articles this month, you activate Grace by believing in Christ. So the first step is to be born again. That is, accepting that you cannot do anything on your own. You need HELP from above. So the moment you make this prayer of salvation, you receive help for everything you want to do.

If you think you are not worthy of Grace, please read 1Timothy 1:15-17.  Be rest assured that God wants to help you in every area of your life that you excel and be in good health to the Glory of His name.

Enjoy the best of God this season and always.
