So it’s day 2 today!

Day 2: The Christmas News

Christmas is such a beautiful season! Full of laughter, joy and really good times. There’s just something about Christmas that gets everyone very excited. Very often however, we  could get caught up in the excitement of Christmas and forget what Christmas really is about. We forget why Christmas is even celebrated in the first place.

Christmas is the day Christians have set apart to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  Why is his birth so important? Why is it accompanied with so much celebration and joy?

Jesus’ coming into the world signifies the coming of salvation and redemption to the world. He is the savior of the world and his birth was the first step in God’s master plan to redeem mankind.

Through him man can now have a relationship with God. Through him we can have peace and eternal life. This is the Christmas news – the good news. This is why we celebrate Christmas.

So here’s the challenge for today:

Tell atleast 7 people the Christmas news – the real reason why we celebrate Christmas.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NIV

Remain blessed
