What is your vision?
a. Vision can be defined as the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination and wisdom. The key words here are THINK, PLAN, IMAGINE.
b. Vision is a mental image of what the future will look like even before the beginning of a new year.
A man without vision is a man without a future and a man without a future is a man who dwells in the past. In life, we are either pulled by our past or future.
Vision has the ability to take you anywhere in life. Vision equally triggers your faith to scale new heights. At the beginning of new year like this, it is very vital to write down what you wish to achieve this year and where you want to be at the end of the year and present it to God, asking for his will to be done.
Mark 10:51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
Once you have a vision with goals to achieve, it is good to go public with your goals. Announce your intentions and the change you want to see in your life. In your vision, clarify what you really want, and state it publicly. The more people know, the more they support, encouragement, prayer and accountability you would have. However, be careful about whom you share your vision with because the devil also uses people to blur your vision. Some of them will simply tell you their fears in the name of advice.
In pursuing your vision, it is very important to have heavenly instructions. “When vision lacks heavenly instructions, it ends up in frustration.” Bishop David Oyedepo
“Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.” Proverbs 4:13
Therefore, it is important to have a clear vision as you plan with God for a glorious year.
