Taking Delivery of God’s Promises for Your Life

Many promises have gone forth this year 2018. God has so much in store for us but in order to get your own package, we need to be positioned and do what we are suppose to do. A famous preacher once said “a faith that makes God solely responsible is an irresponsible faith.” Therefore, we need to know the steps to take in order to get delivery of all God’s promises for your life. If you do not take responsibility for your destiny, you will remain in one position. Here are a a few tips on taking delivery of God’s promises for your life.

  • Attitude: This is the key for any person to get his/her promise land. Any body who wants to change levels must change attitude. For many years, Hannah had been crying for the fruit of the womb. She had faced insults and shame. However, at Shiloh, she changed her attitude. After crying out to the lord, she went back rejoicing and God granted her request. 1 Samuel 1:1-28. Attitude is a barrier between people and their breakthrough. So we need to maintain the right attitude in order to take delivery of God’s promises for your life.
  • Demonstrate unconditional love and forgiveness: To take hold of God’s promises for your life, you need to forgive in order to be forgiven. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32.
  • Recognize Jesus as your only source to recover or take delivery of all God’s promises. Faith and believe in God makes you an heir to the throne and a co-heir with Christ. Therefore, we are entitled to all the benefits and promises of son-ship.  “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12.
  • Release love to men and brethren: Matthew 22:36-40 “…Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a]This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
  • Let the word of God dwell in you: Colossians 3:16 “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
  • Deal with sin and be an enemy of it: 1 John 1:9-10 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
  • Live a sacrificial life: Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
  • Learn to speak the right word: The revelation of God you have determines how you see situations. The words of your tongue have power. What you say is what you become. Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

I pray we put these few tips into practice, in order to take possession of all God has in store for us this year.

Blessings.
