Relentless Grace I

Many times in my life, I’ve been unable to approach God – Literally I wouldn’t bring myself to talk to Him. You know like those times when you can’t bring yourself to look at a friend in the eye because deep in your heart you’ve wronged them greatly? You’re just so ashamed and disgusted with yourself that you avoid them. Yep! I’ve been there with God a few too many times than I’d like to admit. You know it’s funny because that friend will be wondering to themselves – ‘what did I do to her!?’ , ‘why is she avoiding me’, ‘did I do something wrong?’ , ‘ if only she’ll talk to me about it’. They wouldn’t really be able to figure out what the problem is unless you go up and settle things with them. With God, it’s similar but different. Different in that God wouldn’t think He did something wrong (because that’s impossible for Him), Similar in that, all He’ll want is for you to approach Him and talk to Him about it – unfortunately we take too long to do that sometimes.

We most times (way too many times) don’t really understand the extent to which God loves us! We haven’t completely grasped the concept of ‘God’s Grace’. Maybe because we think it’s too good to be true, or maybe because we think we don’t deserve it. Whatever the reasons, I know there’s been times when I’ve been too busy condemning myself that I didn’t notice God was asking me to come back all along!

You know that’s exactly where the devil will have us be! He wouldn’t want us to accept God’s always available grace! He would have us stay away because he knows if we would go back to God, He’s always open to us – ALWAYS! He’ll have you believe that this time you messed up way too much! and for the n’th time you can’t go back to God and ask for forgiveness over the very same thing again. The d

evil would have you believe that God is tired of forgiving you over the same thing! But that’s a lie we shouldn’t fall for!

God’s grace is relentless. He never gives up on you! You shouldn’t give up on yourself.

I’ve seen, I’ve heard, I’ve experienced His grace and love.

I’ve been broken and made whole,

I’ve lost track and been redirected,

I’ve been confused and found purpose,

I’ve sinned and been forgiven

All because His grace has been relentless towards me

This month as we’ve been writing about Grace, I’ve learned more about it and I’ve realized just how foolish I’ve been at times. How I’ve let the devil keep me away from God way too many times and how much easier it could’ve been if I’d just gone straight to God and talked it out with Him! Because you know, the more you stay away from Him, the harder it’ll be for you to approach Him again and the easier it’ll be for you to remain in sin.

I’d have you know that whatever it is you’re struggling with, God want’s to be in it with you! I’ve a friend who everytime he sees someone in need of something and there’s nothing he can do to help, he gets so frustrated with himself! It hurts God when you don’t go to Him for help! Because not only does He WANT to help you, He CAN help you!

I want you to think about a few things next time your cripled in self-condemnation;

  • You’ve got only two options; remain in it and slide even deeper into sin or reach out and accept His grace and help (I think the second option sounds better 🙂 )
  • Jesus loves YOU! – He really does!
  • His grace is enough – It’s all you need
  • You don’t have to do it on your own. He’s in it with you

Don’t let the devil get the better of you girl! You got this!

May God’s grace be with y’all!

Lord I thank you for adding value upon value each time I lose sight of how much value I have….Thank You Lord for Your Grace!
