“Abundance, in large part is an attitude”. Sue Patton T.
Once again dear readers, we are wrapping up the topic “Abundance” and what it means to us as Christians and people in general. In the previous articles we explored God’s abundant grace and keys to unlocking the place of abundance. Today we will be looking inward (Abundance within yourself). Let’s dive right into it.
Abundance, to me seems to be one of those concepts that defy linear thinking. It is much like love, the more you give, the more you get and the more you get, the more you can give(Luke 6:38).
When we hear of abundance the words that might come to mind include: enough, much, prosperity, Gods love, God’s grace.
Doing a bit of deductive thinking we see that;
We were made by the most complete embodiment of ABUNDANCE. Yes?
He is so Abundant that he made us all, the life force in each one of us is a part of him, unending and true. He is again so abundant that time is immaterial to him. His abundance stretches into every living thing there is in this world that we see and talk less of the world we do not see. He is indeed a great God!
By virtue of these points, we his creation therefore inherit some of this Abundance (Eph 3:20).Yup! You do. So, all those things you think you cannot do? You can actually do them. Stop doubting yourself and your potential for it is abundant through our God who made us all.
When we surrender ourselves to God in belief and faith and here I am talking about something as simple as telling God, ‘hey Lord, you are in control now. All you give me I will take and I will use; for all u hold back I will say thank you and follow your lead’. When we do this which we have spoken…really surrender to him, we are allowing him to bless us with abundance because it is God’s very nature. If he works through you, then you will inherit abundance. We must practice taking every day as it comes, smiling with Joy or sorrow in our hearts and telling God thank you in gratefulness for all he has done and is going to do. It’s not like you are giving him permission, No! He does not need our permission but He loves you and He will not force you. Similarly, when we are in love with someone(if this is something you have experienced), we often want them to love us back of their own free will. This also is the desire of our God. He did give us free will after all, I am sure he wants us to use it.
You don’t believe me? Trust In God then and let him lead. The strength to commit to God is so abundant in you I wish you could see it. Keep trying.
I hope this piece, my Dear reader, is giving you a big boost just as it is doing for me while writing it.
Let’s take a step away from spirituality and just look at the idea of Abundance of mind.
I am one of those people who believe the mind in all its mystery has the ability to influence one’s actions and one’s life in general. We have heard of stories of patient’s negative prognosis being overturned almost overnight because they changed their mind set. Proverbs 23:7 says “ as a man thinks in His heart, so is he”. This will be a good place to put that into practice. Thinking and believing that we already have all that we need and even more. Start thinking about yourself today, as; prosperous and healthy and blessed. Believing in the abundance of your life, gives it a form so it can be made manifest.
Having read all what has been written or heard all that has been said this month, I urge you to think abundance into your life; send away those negative thoughts and influences. Watch how your life will flourish. Every day when you wake up, talk to God and speak his abundance into your life.
Before I leave you let me list a few pro-life tips on seeking the abundance that has been made available to you or that is already within you.
