In the last write-up, we spoke about the Woman God created as an incubator of the word. As earlier mentioned, a woman is an incubator of everything you give her. She produces life out of everything placed in her charge. If you are yet to read it, this is a good time to go and read it (here) before coming back . Today, we’ll look at another woman who performed this role effectively.
Our character of focus is a wonderful lady called Anna. Her story is told in Luke 2:36-36. She was a prophetess who had received the word Prophet Isaiah had spoken as inspired by the Lord concerning the Messiah. As she received the message, she held it in her heart as an incubator and stayed in the temple fasting and praying until this prophecy was fulfilled.
What are the Lessons we can draw from this Icon?
- God needs a woman to partner with for his word concerning humanity to be fulfilled. No wonder He said at the creation of the woman that it was not good for the man to be alone and decided to make and incubator who will partner with Him to birth forth his promises for procreation.
- Partnering with God begins with the right positioning. Anna received the word about the messiah and positioned herself in the temple to pray down the promise. Jesus had not come yet so the temple was the place which was known to inhabit the presence and spirit of God. After Jesus has come and fulfilled His work, scripture makes us understand that every believer is now a temple of the Lord and His spirit dwells in us. Therefore, positioning yourself to partner with God for the fulfillment of His promises has to do entirely with having our minds renewed and offering yourself as a living sacrifice unto God.
- Anna gave up herself as a living sacrifice. She changed her daily routine and began living intentionally serving God. She did not leave the temple. She fasted and prayed until she saw the promise of God being fulfilled. As soon as she saw the messiah, no one told her that was the messiah. She knew by the intuition of the spirit in her built out of intimacy with God. Fortunately, we don’t need to go and stay in a physical location called a temple night and day praying for the promises of God. Your prayer life is the temple. Build that temple and stay there till you see the promise of God over your life and family. It is rather unfortunate that many people don’t even recognize when the promise of God over their lives have been fulfilled because they lack intimacy with God. This siege can be broken by deliberately going to your personal temple (your life) and spending time with God.
As an incubator of the word, I encourage you to take every promise that God has said concerning you and your loved ones through His word or through other people to the temple which is your heart. Partner with Him by living intentionally, obeying his word and building a strong altar of prayer and intimacy with him so that those promises will come to pass.
Remember this scripture: “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30.
Could it be that you are the one stopping that promise from coming to pass or that breakthrough from coming to your family because you have not assumed your role as an incubator of the word? I pray that after reading this article, you will reposition yourself and partner with God to bring down his promises and that when it is fulfilled, you will know so that that you can adequately give thanks to God like Anna.
Remain Blessed.
