CHERISH AND APPRECIATE YOUR BEAUTY.

1) CHERISH YOUR BEAUTY

Genesis 1:27 “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”

Being created in the beauty of God means we have God’s beauty in us. The bible is God’s word and it gives a clear picture of our God; a few of which are: God is love (Psalm 103:11b; Psalm 100:5); God is Compassionate (Psalm 103:4); God is good (Psalm 100:5; James 1:17); God is Merciful(Hebrews4:16; God is Gracious (2 Corinthians 12:9); God is forgiving (Psalm 103:3); God is Patient (2 Peter 3:15);God is slow to anger (Psalm 86:15); God is righteous (Psalm 119:137).

These qualities surely make us to perceive God as a BEAUTIFUL GOD. So if we are created in His image, then we surely are beautiful people BUT we can fade out our beauty when we fade away godly attitudes like those mentioned above.  If we learn to cherish our beauty, we must we willing to preserve it.

The question is how can we preserve our God-given beauty?

–          Read and Meditate on the word of God. It gives us a clear picture of godly ways and guides us to nurture our ACTIONS, ATTITUDES and CHARACTER. For instance, the life of Jesus Christ teaches us HUMILITY, FORGIVENESS, SELF-CONTROL, LOVE etc.

–          Work hard and take time to nurture your mind and actions on positive qualities(some of which are mentioned above). Just like time is taken to do facial make-up, more time is needed to build our inner beauty

–          Seek God’s spirit to help you. John 5: 30 “By myself I can do nothing” John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything that I have told you”.

2) APPRECIATE YOUR BEAUTY

Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well”

Our inner beauty makes us glow, attractive and Confident of who we are and what we are made of. OUR INNER BEAUTY NOURISHES OUR SELF-WORTH. Surely, be it in professional life; Christian life; relationship etc; SELF-WORTH is one of the things needed to thrive in society today. Let’s thrive to build and appreciate our inner beauty and certainly people who encounter us will surely appreciate this too.

REMEMBER: We are created in God’s image and are fearfully and wonderfully made. Let’s use our inner beauty to impact our world through our ATTITUDES, BEHAVIORS AND ACTIONS.
