FAITH THE ULTIMATE WEAPON FOR OUR REAWAKENING

FAITH THE ULTIMATE WEAPON FOR OUR REAWAKENING
At times the battles of life, strongholds of the mind, definitions set by the world, challenges, expectations, news and daily events are some of the things we have to deal with every day. Though most of these circumstances appear physical, they are not limited to the physical because most of them usually have a spiritual origin. When we face battles that try to limit us from attaining our full potentials, there is a likelihood that we are not wrestling against physical circumstances only but we are also wrestling against principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:12 amp). God created us to have life and enjoy every bit of it to an overflow while fulfilling the purpose for which we were created (John 10:10). However, our ultimate enemy (Satan) who does not want us to live our best lives on earth (which is all about bringing glory to God each day as we walk faithfully on the path of our purposes) is always on our case looking for a way to make us fall short of the glory of God. That is why we are in need of a reawakening because at times we get caught up and overwhelmed by the challenges and events in our lives that we actually start falling short of God’s glory.
Thankfully God has provided us with several weapons (Salvation, Truth, the Word, Faith, Evangelism or our testimony of Jesus, Prayer, Thanksgiving and Praise Ephesians 6:13-18) to help us to be strong and always be ahead of our enemy the devil. Today our focus is faith as one of the ultimate weapons for our reawakening and victorious living.Faith is a very powerful weapon given to us by God. Not only do we please God when we think, walk and act in faith, but we also provoke Him to move mightily for us (Hebrews 11:6).
What then is faith? I will answer this with a common misconception that people have about what faith is, and with a perfect explanation of what faith is, as defined by Bishop Benson Idahosa. Faith is not a magic wand to put God under our spell and get from Him whatever we want. On the contrary, Faith means submitting to God’s perfect will for our lives because we believe that He knows and desires what is best for us.
With this knowledge of what faith is, it is essential to look deeper into the power embedded in faith that produces massive results such as a reawakening, restoration, breakthroughs, mind blowing victories etc. Faith is very powerful because it has many different dimensions to it, besides it causing us to please God and provoke Him to move mightily for us. When we have faith in God, it does not only produce benefits for us alone but for a group of people or others that God has destined for us to reach out to in that season. Therefore, when we fail to walk and act in faith, especially when the Holy Spirit leads us to in a particular circumstance, then we are standing in the way of the breakthrough, deliverance and healing of others (and this might include a whole generation). For example, if Esther had allowed her fear of the king and his rules overwhelm her rather than courageously stepping out in faith as led by the Holy Spirit, a generation of Jews could risk extinction because of this (Esther 4: 11-16 & 5:1-2). Likewise, if Moses gave in to fear and refused to face pharaoh in faith, perhaps the Jews would have stayed longer in slavery than God’s appointed time (Exodus 3:11). If the woman with the hemorrhage did not step out in faith to touch Jesus’ garment, her story would not be written in history and would not serve as an encouragement for the millions of believers stepping out in faith in Jesus Christ today. If Hannah did not have faith in God to deliver her from bareness (1st Samuel 1), her story would not serve as a reference for many women trusting God for children today.
We therefore realize the importance of faith through these many Bible stories. We too can through our own stories of faith birth the healing, breakthrough, open doors, restoration, and new beginnings of millions of people. Yes, God has endowed us with much more than we can imagine or are yet to discover. We are children of God created in His image; we therefore have the potential to create massive impacts on earth. The first step to self-discovery and living in faith all begins with our belief and complete surrender to Jesus Christ as our Master and Lord. It is time for our generation to reawake and take its place in the history books of God – faith is an ultimate weapon to guide us to the ground breaking reawakening of this generation.
